All active AIA members must successful complete 18 LU (Learning Unit) Hours each year, ensuring that at least 8 of the 18 LU Hours are Health Safety and Welfare (HSW) related. There are numerous ways to earn LU's including: attend an AIA or CSI chapter or regional education program, read selected Architectural Record articles, take advantage of AIA eClassroom or attend a 'lunch and learn'. AIA eClassroom provides distance education programs that give you the power to fulfill your continuing education requirements 24 hours a days, 7 days a week
Architects can earn AIA Continuing Education learning units by reading designated articles and sponsored sections in Architectural Record and on Architecturalrecord.com, answering test questions on the Continuing Education Reporting Form and submitting forms for processing.
